A twin-tension rope system is rigged across a vertical cliff face, designed for lateral movement using a trackline setup. A Sideways A-Frame anchors one end of the span, providing elevation and directional control. On the opposite side, a monopod completes the system, acting as a stable directional for the twin lines. Mechanical advantage systems apply tension precisely while progress capture devices ensure controlled movement.
The litter, suspended and stabilized, begins its journey across the void. Both ropes remain active throughout, maintaining balance and reducing sway. Communication among the team is constant—calls, confirmations, and load checks guide every step. Pulleys are aligned, backups are in place, and rope paths remain clean through each transition.
As the load travels, mirrored operations on both ends keep tension equalized and movement smooth. The team adjusts dynamically, ensuring that any shifts in weight or direction are accounted for immediately. Final descent begins as the litter reaches the near-side landing zone. With precision control and friction management, the system lowers the package safely.
Touchdown is clean. Devices are locked off. The patient is now in reach of the evacuation team. This offset trackline deployment demonstrates coordination, redundancy, and system efficiency—hallmarks of advanced rope rescue.
