L-DIH Talks | Green Tech: Saving money through AI assisted load distribution of electrical systems

Описание: During the webinar, we discussed how rising energy costs and the urgent need to integrate more renewable sources present significant challenges for households and small businesses. We explored how energy consumption can be managed intelligently to maximise the use of available green power from the grid while reducing electricity bills.

We presented a comprehensive, cutting-edge energy solution currently being piloted in around 90 individual houses across Europe. This solution aims to increase the uptake of renewable energy in homes and businesses while reducing energy costs. It combines computing, algorithms, batteries and low-grade heat storage to make this approach possible.

We also examined the future generalisation of the piloted solution, delivered as part of the Interreg NWE RED WoLF project (2019 to 2023). This was discussed from the perspective of implicit and explicit demand-response, innovative microgeneration, energy communities and the advancement of citizens' environmental literacy and training. We also highlighted the potential benefits for a European knowledge exchange centre for energy in social housing and concluded with assessments for a simple OT architecture.
