Introduction:
Surah Baqarah is the 2nd chapter of the Holy Quran. It was revealed in Makka and it consists of a total of 286 verses. The Surah Baqarah is also considered the longest chapter of the Quran.

In Arabic, the word ‘Baqarah’ means, ‘The Cow‘. This chapter of the Holy Quran comprises multiple events and lessons for humankind and reading it and understanding possess equal importance for all the Muslims around the globe.

The Last 2 Verses Of Al-Baqarah:
The 285th and the 286th verse of this chapter are the last two verses. It has its great importance as it highlights the faith of the prophets and the followers of the prophet in Allah as the Sustainer, Guider, & Creator of this universe. These verses also ask for forgiveness, strength, guidance, and mercy from Allah.

Benefits of Surah Baqarah Last 2 Ayats:
There are ample benefits of reciting and understanding the last verses of the Al-Baqarah. They can be summed down as:

Protection From The Evils: Reciting these verses guard a believer from all sorts of evil strengths and evil eyes and ensure safety for them

Strengthens The Faith: It strengthens the faith of a Muslim in Allah & guides him that Allah is his guider & creator

Source Of Forgiveness: The last 2 verses can also be recited as a dua from Allah as it covers the aspects of forgiveness and mercy of Allah on His believers

Source Of Motivation: Reciting and understanding them also motivates a believer that Allah will not overburden him more than he can bear, and he (believer) will be treated according to his good or bad deeds

Hadiths About The Last 2 Verses:
There are many sayings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) highlighting the importance of the last 2 ayats

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) stated that:

“Whoever recites the two verses at the end of Surat-al-Baqarah in the night, they will be sufficient for him” -Al-Bukhari

He also stated that;

“Recite the Quran, for on the Day of Resurrection it will come as an intercessor for its reciters. -Muslim

Bottom Line:
Thus, to gain forgiveness, mercy, and blessings from Allah, every Muslim must recite the Surah Baqarah last 2 ayats. It covers different aspects and different topics that must be followed by every believer for a firm grip on his faith and success in this world and hereafter
