This video shows how to restore a wooden knife handle with just some sandpaper, a file and some finishing oil or wax.
00:04 The handle in question
00:11 Step 1: Reshaping the knife's chipped butt with a coarse file.
00:33 Step 2: Sanding the handle and its pins with 120,240 and 500 grit sandpaper
02:06 Step 3: Cleaning the handle with a wet rag (we dried it with a butane torch, don't imitate us since it's very easy to make a mess).
02:32 Step 4: Oiling the wood. We used boiled linseed oil but regular linseed oil, beeswax or even mineral oil would have worked much better to show the wood's veneer.
