The lowly 0-8 Patriots welcome the 6-2 Saints to Foxboro for a fairly embarrassing offensive performance.
How impotent is the Patriots offense? They muster just 6 first downs and 122 yards. Vincent Brown, our middle linebacker, scores his 2nd TD in 2 weeks, which is one more than the Patriots offense put up.
Tommy Hodson would throw 8-22 for 58 yards with an INT while taking 5 sacks. Somehow he'd end up in New Orleans in 1995.
The saddest stat I can think of relative to the 92 patriots is that 122 yards of total offense was only the 3rd lowest output of the season. They'd have 105 yards vs Atlanta and 94 yards vs. Indianapolis in games they were shut out in. In today's NFL it's hard to fathom an offense so completely pathetic.
