This some what short video will show you how to setup a machine, which will dual-boot Windows & Arch Linux.
We'll also cover how to extend the size of the boot partition, as Windows by default creates a very small partition which won't fit both the Arch Linux boot binaries along side the Windows boot binaries.
There are a few assumptions that we've made:
You pause if you need to view details in the video
You have a blank hard drive to do this (otherwise there would be too many variables)
You're familiar with Windows installations
That you're comfortable to debug any issues on your own, as this can never be a "one size fits all" type of video.
Because there's too many ways to do this, we opt-in for installing Windows first simply because that requires less manual command line work and because Windows have had a tendency in the past to wipe boot partitions without remorse.
This video will also cover a unique workaround to GParted/libparted:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gparte...
This workaround is needed as of making this video, because libparted cannot expand fat32 partitions correctly.
Which is why we need to copy the contents of "boot", change filesystem, then expand, and then change back the file system and copy back the contents to boot.
