Race Car Live Streaming to YouTube via Yi 4K+

Описание: I get a lot of questions about our live streaming setup, so I figured I'd make a video showing how it's done. This is the first of at lest two videos on the subject. In this video I cover setting up a Yi 4k camera. In the next I'll go over the slightly more complicated process with the Cerevo LiveShell 2 and GoPro setup.

Note: You do *NOT* need 1000 subscribers for this method to work! That only applies to using the YouTube app to stream from a phone/tablet.

One advantage of the Yi 4K+ over the GoPro that I forgot to mention in the video is backup recording. With the Yi 4k+ the camera will record both to the SD card and live stream at the same time. The GoPro camera will not record to the card while streaming. This is a great feature for having a second copy of the video available in case the stream goes down.

A downside of the Yi is poor audio. This can be solved using an external remote microphone, and an adapter is supplied with the camera to use an external mic. You will need a USB-C Y splitter to power the camera and use the mic.

Do note that on events longer than 12 hours YouTube will not save the stream for viewing after it has ended. It's best to split those up into multiple scheduled streams so that you can have them for later.
