Watch: Chennai OTA cadets undergo final leg of 49-week training to enter Indian Army

Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai is an institution which provides basic military training to entrants of the Indian Army. This is the sight of OTA training ground where these cadets have been undergoing grueling 49-week training program. Based on these pre-commissioning training, cadets will be selected as Commissioned Officers for Short Service Commission (SSC) in Indian Army. OTA trains officers for various arms and services of the Indian Army except the Army Medical Corp (AMC). In the end of the training session, these cadets will be felicitated with their respective ranks at a glittering ceremony in March, which will mark their entry into the Indian Army.
