Works to demolish some parts of Society Business Park are expected to start soon.
This follows the conclusion of investigations by stakeholders who include the National Council for Construction -NCC-, Engineering Institution of Zambia and Zambia Institute of Architects.
NCC- Executive Director, PAUL MAKASA has disclosed that among the structures that are earmarked to be demolished include the Office block and parking base.
Professor MAKASA however told ZNBC News that Hilton Hotel will not be affected as the structure was built long time ago and its integrity is still sound albeit with minor preventive measures.
He said that the demolishing will be conducted strategically so that other surrounding structures are not affected.
Professor MAKASA added that the contractor African Brothers, a member of the National Council for Construction was engaged and a decision will be made on whether to suspend the firm or not.
