The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its first list of 88 candidates for the upcoming Assam Assembly Elections. The list features major defectors from the Congress, including former PCC chief Pradyut Bordoloi, who has been fielded from the Dispur constituency. While CM Himanta Biswa Sarma remains at his bastion Jalukbari, the party has dropped 18 sitting MLAs to beat anti-incumbency.
