Markets jump off the back of Donald Trump’s Davos speech on Greenland

Motley Fool Chief Investment Officer Scott Phillips claims markets have already jumped after US President Donald Trump’s speech where he made some remarks about Greenland.
President Trump ruled out using force to acquire Greenland and claimed that a framework deal had been reached over the future of the Arctic territory while also reversing tariffs which were due to be imposed on some European nations in February.
“The market already jumped on his Davos speech directly,” Mr Phillips told Sky News Australia.
“We’ve gone from this could spiral out of control to somewhere probably between neutral and positive.
“The markets really are taking most of this largely in their stride.”
