Описание: Exploring an abandoned hospital with power and NO vandalism. Lots of medical equipment remains in the many buildings of this abandoned medical complex. When we first came across this building we definitely were surprised to find the power STILL ON in several buildings as well as lots of medical equipment such as X-ray machines, operating tables, and fully furnished offices inside!

Known for being one of the area's first fully functional health care facilities, this hospital complex first originated as a Tuberculosis Sanitarium in 1906

With the local population rapidly growing, the sanitarium changed its mandate in 1961, expanding its offered medical services and becoming a fully licensed general hospital.

in 1979 portions of the complex were purchased by a Universities research foundation to study various medical practices and specialized rehabilitation programs.

The hospital specialized in developmental pediatrics & rehabilitation, chronic pain management, mental health, and autism.

In 1997 the hospital amalgamated with several local hospitals to form a health science program.

In doing this, they took on thousands of overflow patients from nearby overcrowded hospitals and things were looking up for the complex.

That was until the local healthcare system was reworked in 2014 and mostly all programs, except for a partially operational fracture clinic, were transferred to other facilities.

The old buildings from the original Tuberculosis Sanitarium were deemed "unsafe for public use" and demolished later in 2015.

After the last remaining practice: the fracture clinic moved in early 2017, the complex was left completely vacant and in the hands of the city.

Plans for future development are uncertain, as for now the buildings lay in limbo, awaiting a final decision from the city.
