I grew up in an environment where women were very much in competition with one another, and I told myself it was easier to deal with men. It was super destructive, but empowering other women wasn’t always a priority for me.

It took time, but eventually I realized how much I had internalized misogyny and patriarchy (and how much I believed those were my own ideas). It’s not about competing, it’s about raising other women up together.

From time to time, I’ll see little pieces of internalized misogyny and patriarchy creeping up on myself and my clients. In this episode of the Profitable Joyful Consulting podcast, we’ll explore the ways we tend to give our power away and how we can empower other women in our work.
