Remember:
Tune Every Time: Tune your cello every time you play.
Using the Pegs: When using the pegs to tune, remember to push in as you turn.
Practice and Patience: Tuning takes practice and can be frustrating. If you can't get it in tune or your pegs keep slipping, visit a local violin or luthier shop for help. They can tune it for you.
Fine Tuners: Once your cello is properly tuned, it will likely stay in tune enough for you to use the fine tuners as needed.
Temperature Effects: Changes in temperature affect the tuning of the cello. Typically, cold weather makes the strings go sharp, while heat makes them go flat. The ideal temperature range for keeping your cello in tune is between 65-75 degrees Fahrenheit.
Protect Your Cello: Avoid keeping your cello outside or in a car for too long.
