Bro Boogie is an annual event held the second week of December at Skydive Arizona in Eloy, AZ. Smokejumpers and wildland firefighters from all over the US rendezvous for a week of skydiving and good times. This year’s boogie was an absolute thrill, and the addition of a handful of newly licensed smokejumpers-turned-skydivers made for some very entertaining jumps.
There were activities for everyone - tracking, belly, wingsuiting, freeflying, canopy flocking, swoop and chugs, movie night, and even line dancing just to name a few. Throughout the week, ~30 people attended the event with 7 out of the 9 smokejumper bases represented.
Fantastic jumps and great weather conditions made for another memorable boogie. Big thanks to Skydive Arizona for hosting us and turning Twin Otter loads throughout the week. Hope to see more jumpers and fire folks out there next year!
