As per Battle Network/Star Force tradition, whenever there's some sort of event happening, something has to go wrong. In this case, those two we saw at the beginning of the game arrive at the Science Club Room during the night when Magnes is prepping everything. They place a card on him that transforms him, making him a lot more monstrous. During the launch of the rocket, Magnes makes the energy levels of the rocket go berserk, turning it into a giant magnetic bomb. So it's time to jump into action and enter our first dungeon of the game. __
