The top layer is cut from luxurious vegetable-tanned leather, tanned in Tuscany using traditional methods that date back centuries. After tanning, the hides are softened in large rotating drums with oils and waxes to enhance flexibility and draw out the natural grain. The result is a buttery-soft finish and unmistakable leather aroma, with surface patterns that follow the hide’s unique blueprint — like the fine wrinkles across our own skin. This leather is ethically sourced as a by-product of farming, with no wild or endangered species used — a real material, not an artificial stamped imitation.
