http://www.stephenfung.net - I picked up this Manfrotto Pixi Evo 2 mini-tripod to replace my stupid Joby Gorillapod. Yes it's great for wrapping around things like rails or fences but it's heavy and it falls down a lot when on a flat surface. The Manfrotto Pixi Evo 2 sits flat and has an adjustable ball head built in and takes far less room than the gorillapod in your bag. It also extends in height and the stance can be narrowed to fit tight spaces. It also makes a decent selfie pod thanks to the adjustable ball head.
