Sheikhupura is an hour drive from #Lahore - a comparatively smaller city but with historical significance. The city is tucked on one side of the city - an interesting place with an interesting story about a prince's love for his favourite deer (antelope).
The minar (tower) was built in 1606 (17th century)
As the story goes, the #Mughal Prince Saleem loved to hunt. The said deer was a beautiful named Mansraj, who attracted other deer, which the prince hunted. One day, Prince Mansraj was injured by a royal arrow, which proved to be fatal. This tower or minar was built above the grave of the deer.
