Galway city is located in the west of Ireland, with a variety of operators providing it with both regional and city bus services. The previous visit was in 2022 (   • Galway Buses | September 2022  ), and that one concentrated on the city services around Eyre Square. This visit covers a bit more wider area, and a larger of variety of services.

Bus Eireann still provides the largest number of services, both urban and regional. The Connecting Ireland plan has seen a variety of new services regional serving Galway, as well as different bus types. The VB Class dominates on most of these services, although recently Galway has received a number of LD double-decker coaches to provide increased capacity on routes such as the 424. One of these buses appears in this video on route 424 in Salthill. PAD Class Enviro 400ERs still operate all the Bus Eireann city services. City Direct operate ex-London Enviro 400s on their city routes.

Expressway operate a number of routes to Galway, and provide connections to Cork, Limerick, Sligo and beyond. Citylink also provide services to Clifden and Ballina in the west of Ireland.

Galway has a lot of variety to offer, and is usually quite busy with services coming and going. This video starts in Oranmore, which is the furthest east the city services reach. This town is also served by route 350, as well as long-distance Expressway route 51 and Citylink services to Dublin. Most of the video in the city was recorded around Eyre Square, including the bus station exit and outside Galway Cathedral. The 424 was recorded in Salthill on the western side of the city.
