Ashura-e-Hussaini Observed Peacefully Across Kargil District
In Ladakh, Ashura, commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (A.S.), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), was observed with deep religious devotion and solemnity throughout Kargil district today.
Mourning processions were organized under the banners of Jamiat-ul-Ulama Isna Asharia Kargil and Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust Kargil. Thousands of mourners participated in these processions, expressing grief through Noha Khwani and Seena Zani, remembering the sacrifices made at the Battle of Karbala.
The procession concluded at Hussaini Park Kargil and Inqilab Manzil, with sermons delivered by scholars highlighting the values of truth, justice, and sacrifice.
Adequate arrangements were made by the District Administration and District Police, and numerous medical camps and Sabeels were set up along the routes for the convenience of mourners.
The day concluded with Majlis-e-Aza held at various places, where speakers urged the community to uphold the principles of Karbala in everyday life.
