In this video, I am sharing a perfect crispy Rawa Dosa recipe with fresh coconut chutney and spicy
red onion tomato chutney, just like you get in restaurants.
This dosa is instant, no fermentation, and
super crispy, making it perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dinner.
INGREDIENTS – RAWA DOSA:
Fine Rawa (Sooji) – 1/2 cup
Rice Flour – 1/2 cup
Maida – 1/4 cup
Curd – 3 tablespoons
Water – as required
Salt – to taste
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Finely chopped Onion – 2 tbsp
Finely chopped Ginger – 1 tsp
Finely chopped Green Chilli – 1 tsp
Curry Leaves – few
Oil / Ghee – for roasting dosa
INGREDIENTS – COCONUT CHUTNEY:
Fresh grated Coconut – 1 cup
Roasted Chana Dal – 2 tbsp
Green Chilli – 1
Ginger – small piece
Salt – to taste
Water – as required
Tempering:
Oil – 1 tsp
Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Curry Leaves – few
Chana dal 1 teaspoon
INGREDIENTS – RED ONION TOMATO CHUTNEY:
Onion – 1 medium (roughly chopped)
Tomato – medium
Dry Red Chilli – 2
Garlic – 2 cloves
Salt – to taste
Ginger- 2 inch
Fresh coconut 1/4 cup
METHOD:
1. Mix rawa, rice flour, maida, curd, and water to make a thin batter.
2. Add salt, pepper, cumin, onion, ginger, green chilli, and curry leaves.
3. Heat tawa, pour batter in circular motion, add oil, and cook till crispy.
4. Blend coconut chutney ingredients and temper with mustard and curry leaves.
5. Sauté onion, garlic, and red chilli, add tomatoes, cook, and grind to chutney
PRO TIPS:
Batter should be very thin.
Cook on medium heat.
Do not spread batter with ladle.
Stir batter before every dosa.
Use ghee for extra crisp
