But it's not just the parade itself that's worth a visit – the street festival around Blücherplatz also invites visitors to discover the diversity of cultures. A diverse program is offered on several stages. There's theater, performances, interactive activities, and enchanting elements, not just for young carnival-goers. Interested parties will also find information booths from sustainable companies and initiatives, a solar-powered craft station, organic crepes, and other delicacies. A total of 350 booths offering arts and crafts, culinary delights, and information ensure that the festival is never boring. An age-appropriate program is offered for families with children.

Carnival of Cultures with over 5000 participants
Over 5,000 performers from almost every continent typically participate. From Brazilian samba to Chinese lion dance, from West African drums to Bernese carnival brass bands, the carnival groups impressively demonstrate that Berlin's treasure lies in its diversity and internationality. Along with the four-day street festival, the parade is the highlight of the carnival.
