DICONDE (Digital Imaging and Communication in NDE) is the accepted standard that provides a way for manufacturers and users of NDE equipment to share acquired data. It is a non-proprietary file format & image data communication protocol developed by the ASTM committee on non-destructive testing. It is based on the well-known DICOM system used throughout the medical sector, but DICONDE incorporates many features that are purely NDE-focused.
