Today we say goodbye to a truly underrated guitar legend — Drew Zingg, former Steely Dan guitarist, has sadly passed away. I was shocked to learn the news of Drew's passing, shared by his family on Facebook. In this video, I share my personal memories of hearing Drew Zingg for the first time when Steely Dan hit the road after 20 years. His playing floored me — a perfect blend of sophistication, soul, and fire that took jazz-rock guitar to another level.

Drew wasn’t a household name, but to musicians in the know… he was the guy. His phrasing, his feel, his tone — absolutely unforgettable. I share a touching message from his brother and a clip of Drew doing what he did best: making the guitar sing. Rest in peace to a master of the craft.
