NGK is an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) supplier to many automotive brands, and also makes REM (Replacement Equipment Manufacturer) parts for plugs and ignition coils. The REM parts are designed as replacement parts for the original, and they are manufactured to be as good as the original. They also make parts that improve performance, but for our exercise, we just wanted to check out if the replacement parts, in particular, the spark plugs and coils would perform as well as the original, and of course the best test would be to take the car up Genting.
