💁🏻 Moses Learns to Share Leadership – Wisdom Through Humility
Moses was a faithful leader who loved God and cared deeply for the people. But Moses tried to do everything by himself, listening to the people all day until he became very tired. God used Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, to show him a better way. Moses learned that leadership does not mean doing everything alone. This story reminds us that God is the true leader of His people, and He wisely uses others to help carry His work so that no one person takes God’s place.
📖 Bible Readings: Exodus 18:13–24
(Numbers 11:16–17, Proverbs 11:14, Ecclesiastes 4:9–12, Galatians 6:2)
👨🏻💻 Teachings:
Three marks of good leadership:
1. Leadership that decentralizes power.
2. Leadership that empowers others to lead.
3. Leadership that is sustainable for the future.
💪🏼 Applications:
1. Master the art of delegation.
2. Develop leaders who develop other leaders.
3. Mentor, monitor, and migrate.
🎙 Discussion:
What is the importance of the mentor–monitor–migrate process?
🤿 Dive Deeper:
How did the New Testament church apply decentralized leadership?
🙏🏼 Prayer:
Father God, sometimes I try to carry too much on my own, as if everything depends on me. I forget that You are the One in control. Thank You for placing people in my life to help, guide, and support me. Please soften my heart when I am proud or afraid to let go. Teach me to trust You enough to trust others. I want to serve You with joy, not exhaustion, and to remember that Your work is done by Your strength, not mine. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
