The original version of the track plays at the end of the movie, when Thanos has become victorious over the Avengers. Half of all life has been wiped out of existence, and the Avengers have lost. Thanos sits on a porch, watching the sun rise over a balanced universe.
The track is tragic, with the melody swells adding to the emotion. I made use of different motifs from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, using harmony to create the idea of the heroes being defeated. Orchestral orchestration is used throughout; it represents the epic nature and grand scale of Thanos' victory.
