So Expedition 33 – a ragtag crew of gorgeous, broken, ridiculously stylish adventurers (think turn-of-the-century Parisian explorers meets JRPG drama) – embarks on an impossible quest across a surreal, dying fantasy France to climb her tower and stop her before the countdown hits. Expect tragic backstories, existential dread, found-family tears, and the most jaw-dropping painterly visuals you've ever seen in a game.

Gameplay? Real-time + turn-based hybrid combat that's smooth as butter on a fresh croissant: dodge, parry, counter, build QTE gauges, unleash devastating combo attacks – all while a Giuseppe Verdi level soundtrack makes you weep into your red wine. It's giving French Final Fantasy X with the soul of Nier and the beauty of a Studio Ghibli film directed by Alphonse Mucha.
