This week we finally start plastering in our 100 year old Welsh farmhouse as work begins on our downstairs bathroom. With no trades on site, it’s down to us to keep the renovation moving — including attempting lime plastering for the very first time.

From preparing the stone walls to building out the new bathroom space, we’re slowly turning this old farmhouse into a home.

OUR STORY:
We're Gav and Nicole and we decided to risk everything by swapping our comfortable lives in the city to buy an abandoned homestead/smallholding in the West of Wales.

We have a huge challenge on our hands as the property and the land all need a full renovation after lying empty for years but as we spent everything we had on the move, we will be doing all the work ourselves. This is a life time project though, so we have time to figure it all out!
