The featured game for this session is 16/10 Deuces Wild, AKA "not so ugly" deuces or "NSU" deuces. Although "NSU Deuces Wild" is not an "official" name it might as well be; that is how it is most commonly referred to in the industry. It got its very deserved name because there are so many "short-pay" versions of Deuces Wild out there that are so bad they are downright "ugly," whereas this pay table with a payback of 99.7% is "not so ugly." Hence, the name was born.
I actually have a great deal of "real world" experience with this exact game. The Fiesta in Henderson (closed when this was written on 10/3/21, unfortunately) had a bank of these machines in the nice, comfy, tabletop version. It was NSU Deuces "Triple Play" progressive, and it seemed to me that 1% of the coin-in was feeding the progressive. $2000+ jackpots were a common occurrence. Add all that to a very generous player's club card and the simple fact that the casino was directly across the street from where I lived, made for a very lucrative (and convenient) play indeed.
This is what you are looking for; the pay table (in coins) on a standard 5-coin max NSU Deuces Wild video poker machine is as follows:
NATURAL ROYAL FLUSH: 4000
4 DEUCES: 1000
WILD ROYAL FLUSH: 125
5 OF A KIND: 80
STRAIGHT FLUSH: 50
4 OF A KIND: 20
FULL HOUSE: 20
FLUSH: 15
STRAIGHT: 10
3 OF A KIND: 5
If your machine has different max coins, just make certain that the ratios are the same. For example, on a 10-coin machine, the payouts should be exactly double.

The purpose of this channel is not only to teach: think of me as an "Ambassador" of Video Poker. I boast with conviction that ANYONE can win, but I don't merely make unsubstantiated claims and leave it at that; I prove it.
Keep in mind that generally you cannot just walk up to any Video Poker machine and expect to win. The VAST majority of games are losers, and if a play has under a 100% EV it does not matter if you play "perfectly" or not, you will still lose in the long run. Winning is not only about using expert strategy; winning is about finding the right "play" which is a combination of machine EV and casino promotions.
You CANNOT win on "expert strategy" alone; you're play must have over a 100% EV. Any combination of negative EV bets that you make will lose in the long run; it is a mathematical certainty!
So, as should be obvious, the games I feature on the channel are overall "winners" on average, although my advantage has been and will remain to be quite small. Demonstrating I can "win" by playing unrealistically high EV plays would not really prove anything, although the average EV of the plays I make in the "real world" most certainly average higher than they do on the channel!
Through Episode 16 the average EV of my plays has only been approximately 100.55%. For the sake of variety, I sometimes have and will in the future feature small losers (such as Triple Bonus Plus' 99.8% EV from the previous session). Naturally, these games being featured bring my overall EV down, which makes it necessary for me to make adjustments, such as adding in some "reasonable" progressives and making Jacks or Better 10/6 (100.7%) rather than 9/6 (99.5%). The overall average EV number I'm going to "shoot for" is 100.7575%. In other words, I wish to mirror FPDW. I'm also adding in the world-famous 1 member VPM Player's Club at the end of this session, which pays 0.2% cashback. So my goal is to have my plays on the channel have a very reasonable and very attainable 100.9575% average EV overall.
As a special bonus for my BIGGEST fans...the ones that are actually reading this video description (all three of you, maybe?), I'm going to tell you and only you the next game that I will be featuring: 9/7 Double Bonus progressive, with the jackpot starting at $1550 and progressing to $2000 (yay!). They used to have this game at Sam's Town; I do not know whether or not if it is there anymore; can anyone confirm? It was a very nice game because it reset at $1500 rather than $1000, and it had a fairly fast meter as well (I think it was 1%).
I am CERTAIN among the dozens and dozens of viewers out there that SOMEONE must have a question (or two) for me! There is an awful lot of blank space in the "comments" section. Does everyone understand what I mean when I say "1% meter?" Do you all understand what I mean when I say "at reset?" "0.2% cashback?" "16/10?"
Do you even know what EV is?
Is anybody out there?
Hello??
PLEASE write me a question in the comments! Or even if you don't have a question...write me anything! Please!! Just prove you're actually out there.
Anyone?
