“저는 캔버스를 수평으로 놓고 톱밥과 물감을 사용해서 작업합니다. 이번 시리즈의 경우 검정, 흰색, 파란색 색소를 혼합한 것으로 재료를 만들었습니다. 캔버스 위에 직접 물감 반죽을 던지며 추가하는데, 과정이 매우 노동집약적 입니다. 작품과 제 사이에 중요한 에너지 교환이 일어납니다. 저는 예술가와 작품 간의 에너지 교환을 믿습니다. 저에게 그것은 매우 중요합니다.
이렇게 작업하는 이유 중 하나는 작품에서 처음 균열이 생겼을 때 작업을 멈추기 때문인데, 그때 저는 개입을 멈추고 작품이 스스로 형성되도록 둡니다. 처음 균열을 본 후에는 절대 작품에 개입하지 않습니다. 그것이 자연스럽게 형성되어 최대한 진정성과 고유성을 느낄 수 있게 하기 위함입니다.” -보스코 소디

“I work horizontally. It's a mixture of sawdust and pigments—black, white, and blue pigments in this case—and it's a very physical process. I work directly on the painting, throwing and adding material. It's a significant exchange of energy between the work and myself.
I believe in the exchange of energy between the artist and the work. For me, it is fundamental.
One of the reasons I work this way is that when I see the first crack in the painting, I stop. I stop my intervention and let the work evolve on its own. I never interfere with the painting after I see the first crack because I want it to develop naturally and feel as authentic and unique as possible.” -Bosco Sodi
