How to Change a Trailer Coupling, presented by Steve Bradshaw.
1. Undo the M10 nuts at the rear of the coupling that fasten the brake rod to the coupling. There are two of them and they can be undone with a 17mm spanner.
2. Then, separate the jockey wheel by winding the two halves apart and remove it. Make sure you have released the handle in order to remove the jockey wheel from the bracket.
3. Then, to ensure the handbrake lever will not shoot up whilst you are trying to remove the coupling; because it is under severe pressure with the energy store at the rear, fasten a cable tie around the drawtube, making sure that it is nice and safe.
4. Lastly, undo the four bolts which hold the main A-Frame to the chassis and remove it.
