And here are the "7 Deadly Sins" I've committed while I recorded this cover 10 years ago:

1 - Credits. I don't even remember why, but I've credited this song to Tom Mustaine. He had to personally come here and correct me. It was Leo A. Sieben who made this badass piece of music. Nowadays I don't even remember how this mistake happened, I'm pretty sure I went on doom's wikia to check out all credits, I don't think there was a mistake on their page, probably I've read that bad, or something like that. Great start.
2 - Chorus on drums. WHY?!?!?! This is so stupid even I don't have the answer to this question. You can clearly hear how destructive it is since the very beginning with the quarters on the charleston (which is the reason I've kept the same start on the new version instead of using silentzorah's cool intro. This way it's easier to notice).
3 - Midi Drums. At the time I had no other way than rendering to wave the drum midi track with some samples found on the internet. The mistake lies in the fact that I usually direct imported the games' midis and exported. And the problem is that these midis come from a MUS format that somehow messes up all the midi timing and tempos, so the entire song works on itself but if I try to import it it will never fit on a standard 4/4. I'm not that expert to go and forcibly fit it to the right tempo so at the time I've just imported and rendered as wav, without editing the drums in the slightest. Nowadays I'm doing almost everything from scratch, so that I have a better control over the drum part, tempo and the project itself
4 - Too Many Drums? Well, Unless you can Imagine Slipknot playing this one, there are too many drum beats played at the same time. During the lone solo past the mid of the song, you can hear a regular drum tempo while the second ghost drummer rolls all the set of toms and floor toms. It always sounded a bit too much, but at the time my editing possibilities were limited by the converted nature of the midi (see 3), now I've decided to do everything from scratch and make it... Plausible, at least.
5 - Bass Guitar. It doesn't sound that bad here, actually, but that was my very first bass guitar and I've mistreated, experimented, modded, cut the $h17 out of it to the point it was hard to keep it in tune and with octaves barely acceptable. Maybe it doesn't sound bad here because I'm mostly on the first frets, but using it was a very bad idea anyways.
6 - Rising scale harmonization. The original version doesn't have a random rising. There's a precise scale before the harmonizations. I wasn't able to play it, it was too fast and I wasn't good enough, so I' went with a linear rise. 10 years later and it's just the same. I've successfully found the scale but it's too damn fast.
7 - Line6 POD X3. At the time it was a huge step forward quality wise. But it aged bad. And if I still had the original project and recordings they would be useless, as the signal would be already overdriven, making it harder to work on later if I wanted to change the sound in any way.
