HDBaseT 5Play technology provides the ability to control and distribute multiple signals, simultaneously over single, standard Cat5e/6/7 cable, over distances of up to 100 metres.
The 5Play version of HDBaseT will distribute HD video, audio, Power-over-Ethernet, 2 way IR & RS-232 control signals, plus 100BaseT Ethernet simultaneously over the same standard Ethernet cable.
Essentially using a HDBaseT Transmitter (such as Matrix, Splitter or Transmitter Balun) at the Source end of the system and a HDBaseT Receiver at the Output end of the system, these multiple AV signals can be controlled and distributed via new or existing CatX cable infrastructure.
