The same pattern can be seen in hospitals, schools, and government departments, where people often rely on individual reputations to decide whether they can trust an institution.

But can one officer restore lasting trust in the examination system? While a credible appointment may provide temporary reassurance, meaningful change requires transparent investigations, clear accountability, and reforms that continue beyond an individual officer’s tenure. The real test is whether the inquiry leads to lasting improvements and whether students can trust the system regardless of who is in charge.
