A practical demonstration on the engagement and disengagement of the INNOSON fire truck PTO (Power take off). The PTO serves as a crucial link in harnessing existing engine power to drive auxiliary attachments such as water pump, hydraulic pumps, angus, or carpet cleaning vacuums.
This exercise consists of the various steps to ensure the proper engagement of the PTO, with each fireman able to perform this task without any hassle. During the exercise, a revised lecture on the differences amongst the green, yellow, and red colors found on the inlet and delivery outlet of the fire truck was conducted.
• The green line is for inlet of ordinary water into the truck water tank through the hydrant or reservoir.
• The yellow line is for inducting foam/F-500 into the foam tank and water line.
• The red line carries the mixture of the F-500/foam and water out of the pump to fight fire.
