The mountains have something very comforting about them. Be it ascending a peak, or reaching a destination in the mountains, there is a sense of tranquility associated with that journey.
This Holiday home of 7000 sqft is nestled in a small village of Kotgarh enlivens the same experience for our entrepreneur client wishing to build a dream home on his ancestral property. The site of this mountain home is surrounded by apple orchards, pine trees and offers majestic views towards north, north-east and north-west. Owing to the steep slopes the site prone to the landslides.
Delicately weaving into the landscape, the house alternately opens up and closes up to different characteristics of the site. The site is approached from a pathway which takes you to the portico where the overwhelming views of mountains gets revealed. Here one can choose the straight way to the drawing room or take a left towards the badminton court adjacent to verdant lawn. After the lawn, a trail takes you to a gazebo cocooned further in the apple orchard opening up to breathtaking views. Adding up warmth to the entire setting, an outdoor fireplace along with outdoor dining is designed to cater family and friends.
