pine cone and resin walking stick

Описание: Iv been meaning to turn this little pine cone and resin blank for a while so i decided to make a walking stick , I'm not the first person to cast a pine cone in resin and won't be the last but you only have to type in resin crafts on google to see lots of how too cast pine cones in resin , its something that iv wanted to do for quite some time and until now not been able. The Pine cone came out of a potpourri packet so smells like cinnimen but extremely dry so the resin was able to make a great adhesion, It sat in the pressure pot for 48 hours.
Other than the blank being brittle while i turned it on my Axminster AC305WL it turned quite easily, I mainly used the round carbide wood turning chisel for most of the turning and the diamond detailer and square just as negative rakes to speed up the sanding prossess.
Im not set on the stick that i used to show it i think i may look for s slim hawthorn of something dark.
