Having modded all of my keyboards, when I heard there was a new keyboard coming out that was " Gummy O-Ring Mounted" I was excited to say the least. The Bakeneko65 is the follow up from the Bakeneko or Bakeneko60. Having now owned both they are literally identical in everyway, except one. The newly released Bakeneko65 has two weight options, the zinc weight or the silicone weight. I chose to go with the Silicone Weight due to the fact my original Bakeneko had a tiny bit of hollowness to it, therefore I had done a silicone pour in the bottom case. The Silicone Weight takes out most if not all of the hollowness that was seen in my Bakeneko60. This included option was a welcome addition to an already amazing board. The mounting mechanism in both Bakeneko's is via "Gummy O-Ring". This mounting option gives you a small amount of flex and a very even typing experience. I still prefer poron gaskets over any other mounting style, but that is just personal preference. I would 100% recommend this board to someone just starting out in the hobby as it is both affordable and incredibly easy to build.
