DMG MORI SAILING TEAM - JAPAN TOUR 2021
Around the globe: the DMG MORI Sailing Team was on a JAPAN TOUR 2021 from July to November 2021. Together with Skipper Kojiro Shiraishi and the winning yacht DMG MORI Global One, the team visited the marinas of Yokohama (East Japan), Ashiya (West Japan) and Tokoname (Central Japan). More than 5,000 fans – including team sponsors, customers, elementary school and kindergarten children – went to see the IMOCA 60 around Japan and to meet Kojiro Shiraishi, who is the first Asian sailor who has mastered the Vendée Globe in the 2020 edition.
The aim was to spread the culture of sailing in Japan and to make the sport better known. And the journey continues: the goal is to compete in the Vendée Globe 2024.
