Hello fellow modelers!
One of the most common situations you’ll face when stepping into the mechanical world is, without a doubt, dealing with bolts, screws, and nuts.
Now, if you ever talk to a serious mechanic, be warned:
they will pay extreme attention to terminology.
So if you mention a bolt, they’ll immediately assume you’re referring to a specific screw tightened with a nut — and nothing else.
And since I wouldn’t dare to test their patience, this tutorial does its best to stick to proper mechanical terminology and ISO standards.
That said… if I still make any mistakes (and trust me, I probably will!), please be kind 😄
This is a step-by-step hard surface modeling tutorial where we model a mechanically accurate M6 screw and nut entirely in Blender, focusing on correct proportions, thread geometry, and clean topology.
