In this video, Sharath @BuildingBeautifully joins me, as we travel to each of the new Sydney Metro City extension stations using existing public transport services.
We then reveal how much quicker the same journey will be once the Sydney Metro City extension opens. Some of the time savings are jaw-dropping!
We also discovered that the bus was quicker than the train between Crows Nest and Victoria Cross, and that walking is faster than the train between Barangaroo and Martin Place.
And if you've ever wondered whether the T4 is quicker than the city circle between Town Hall and Central, then we answered that too.
Both Sharath and myself are so excited about the Sydney Metro City Extension which is planned to open on Sunday 4 August. We will be there on opening day, and I hope you will be too!
Also in this video, you'll learn why Waratah trains don't run on the T4, why above ground is sometimes better than underground, an update on the Hunter Street Station demolition works, the latest footage of Gadigal Station and a new artwork installation that has appeared at Redfern Station.
Thanks again to Sharath @BuildingBeautifully for joining me. Here are links to his videos that we mentioned.

Accuracy
I do my best to make the commentary in these videos as accurate as possible by checking facts on the internet and other sources. However, sometimes the information isn't available, so I'll use my railway knowledge and insight to explain something to the best of my ability. If accuracy is important, do check the comments, as other viewers will often pick up on things I've missed or any mistakes made. Also note that for older videos, things may change over time, causing some of the information to become out of date.
Construction Sites, Maintenance Facilities and other Private Property
All footage of construction sites, maintenance facilities and other private property is taken from a public vantage point. The only exception is if it's an open day or I have special permission to access the site. The iPhone's small lens and zoom function makes it easier to film through small gaps in hoardings or fencing, so it may look like I'm on site when I'm not! If you would like to know the exact filming location, then ask me in the comments.
