This is CameraRibbon, and this is a device I came up with—I actually did it for the HVX200 when I was shooting with that a few years back. So I decided to come up with something to take a really small, hand-held camera, and simply turn it into a shoulder-mounted rig. So you can—for this model, it has a single counter-balance. You can go up more weight if you wanted for a heavier camera. It allows you just to turn it into a shoulder-mounted rig.

Now this is a different form-factor camera — this is an older HVX 200, but a lot of cameras are the same shape form factor. Same thing: we’ve got a double counterweight on this one. We also have an easy, simple mount. It can also mount the flex arms if you want to put a light or a monitor on there. You can mount this one on this side, and you can have something mount on this side as well.

A lot of shoulder mount designs don’t come over the back like this. So when you go to get that typical corporate shot when you’re shooting down at a keyboard, a lot of mounts just want to slide off your shoulder. This one won’t.

This bend is the same; we just have a riser on it with the quick-release plate there. And you can buy second quick-release plates. Put it on any device. This one happens to be Manfrotto compatible. So this dovetail plate, this adapter, is compatible with not only the Manfrotto tripods, but also with the Sachtler Ace series.

Simple, effective, just turns the handheld camera into a shoulder-mount camera as simply as possible.
