Delhi Rain: Severe Waterlogging in Sangam Vihar After Heavy Rainfall | Delhi-NCR Weather Update

Heavy rainfall caused severe waterlogging in Delhi’s Sangam Vihar area. Submerged roads disrupted traffic and created difficulties for residents, pedestrians and daily commuters.

Heavy rainfall led to severe waterlogging in several parts of Delhi, with major disruption reported from the Sangam Vihar area in South Delhi. Visuals showed roads submerged under rainwater as residents, pedestrians and motorists struggled to move through the affected stretches.

Water accumulated on internal roads and in low-lying residential areas, slowing traffic and causing inconvenience to daily commuters. Shani Bazaar Road and other stretches of Sangam Vihar were among the areas affected by waterlogging following widespread rainfall across the national capital.

Rain was also reported across several locations in Delhi, including ITO, Mathura Road, Jantar Mantar, Kartavya Path, C R Park and Lodhi Road. The showers caused traffic congestion and water accumulation in multiple parts of Delhi-NCR.

The situation in Sangam Vihar once again raised concerns over drainage capacity, road infrastructure and monsoon preparedness in densely populated residential areas. Commuters were advised to remain cautious while travelling through submerged roads and to avoid deeply waterlogged stretches.
