Built around the pressing theme of ‘Harnessing Science, Innovation and Sustainability for India’s Maritime Future’, the Global Blue Economy Summit 2026 in Bhubaneswar is an impactful forum focused on the sustainable use of ocean resources to drive economic growth, improve livelihoods, and protect ocean ecosystem health. It is hosted by BCKIC, an initiative of PSA, Govt of India, in association with Commerce and Transport Department, Govt of Odisha and NITI Aayog.

The two-day summit in Bhubaneswar from March 13 to 14 brings together 50+ Ministries, Depts, policymakers, 50+ international delegations, 100+ startups, innovators, 100+ industry corporate leaders, 200+ academicians, researchers, 50+ universities, research institutions, 50+ investors, funding bodies apart from 50+ NGOs, SHGs, and Coastal Communities together on one platform.

The summit explores marine conservation, fisheries, ocean energy, AI, and maritime trade to drive innovation, sustainability, and collaboration for India’s maritime future. It envisions boosting Odisha’s Blue Economy Leadership in India and also spotlights the country’s top startups under Mission Blue Economy.

The event, featuring 10 vibrant sessions, will brainstorm ideas on marine conservation, coastal development, fisheries, renewable ocean energy, AI for marine resources, deep-sea mining, and maritime trade, promoting collaboration and investment for a sustainable and resilient blue economy worldwide.
