Blip is an electro-mechanical game produced by Tomy in 1977. It can be played by one or two players and, in many ways, is very similar to Atari's Pong video game.
While the game takes two "AA" batteries, the batteries are used only to light up the red LED that acts as the "ball" being passed back and forth on the screen. The rest of the game is powered by a spring-driven mechanism that must be manually wound prior to game play.
Although the game is simple in nature, it's very difficult to play because the "ball" doesn't start moving toward the 1, 2, or 3 position until it crosses the center of the screen. In effect, the player only has the distance of half the screen to determine which button to press.
