Milder & becoming breezy with some passing clouds

Описание: Cold morning temperatures are once present with mostly clear skies, light winds, & dry air, allowing for that radiational cooling process.

Air temperatures in the north are starting off mostly from around the high single digits to the 20s, while elsewhere to the southwest, air temperatures are ranging from the high teens to near 30°.

Above-normal high temperatures are set for today. Areas from East New Mexico to the Pecos River Valley area will range from the high 50s to near 70° from northwest to southeast from high to low elevation, while far-southeastern areas will reach near 70°. Slightly stronger northwesterly winds from aloft will go up, over, and down the southeast-sloped mountain faces, leading to the milder process at the surface in this area as a result. The northern higher elevations will range from the high 30s to the low 50s, while the northern valley floors to western and central areas will mostly range from the 50s to the low 70s.

Fire weather chances will be mostly low today, but will be elevated to locally critical tomorrow. The ridge of high pressure, also responsible for the warming process ahead, will steer in some clouds with stronger northwesterly downsloping winds in northern areas, with gusts up to at least 35-50 mph with some patchy blowing dust and some reduced visibility occasionally as a result.

Higher temperatures will continue on Wednesday, the warmest so far this year, at the cost to the very breezy conditions for some. Despite a weak backdoor front moving through on Thursday, temperatures will rise back up this weekend with dry air and some breezy conditions occasionally.
