Our client, a manufacturer of alumuninum foil products, had a need to add production capactity. Their desire was to add complete packaging lines from the discharge of the spool winders, through stretch-wrapping. BW Integrated Systems was tasked with designing, building, integrating, and installing the equipment on this project. Two key components we chose to meet their needs are the HSC 400 Horizontal Cartoner and the KD 40 Knockdown Casepacker.
The HSC 400 Horizontal Cartoner is capable of maintaining speeds of up to 400 cartons per minute, and offers greater product throughput while requiring less maintenance. A rotary carton set-up is utilized for carton set-up which has virtually no-wear parts, no timing adjustments and faster changeover capabilities. The KD 40 Knockdown Casepacker is typically rated up to 45 cases per minute when using RSC corrugated containers and is all servo-driven.
