Her mom says that she can tell Nobara is out there having tons of fun, while Nobara thinks that this is already getting on her nerves because she doesn’t know what the hell she’s doing at all. At this point, Nobara’s mom says so my little girl went and became a sorcerer, interesting. I myself had no talent for sorcerer, so when you were born Grandma spent all her time focusing on you instead and your talents. This creeps Nobara out a bit because she tells her mom to stop talking like they’re sisters or something considering their age difference, telling her mom that what she lacked the most was talent as a mother, which is way more important than her talent as a sorcerer. Now it’s here where the REAL conversation starts, where Nobara’s mom lights a cig and blows it all in her face saying is that all? Are you just here for me to notice you or acknowledge you? Sorry, but as much as you want me to say look how much you’ve grown up or good job on everything you’ve done so far, that’s not really my style. If you were expecting to meet me and get some new good memories of your terrible mom, i’m sorry to disappoint you, but I haven’t changed at all. Seducing rich men, drinking, running through yn’s, my life is the absolute best without you around and i’ve had soooo much fun because of it. Meanwhile here you are, stuck with your parent’s life as your entire identity, it’s kind of sad if not pitiful. This is INSANE and makes me feel like Nobara’s mom would’ve been perfect for Toji, however despite all of this Nobara says wow, amazing. That was so light that it had to come from a planet with different gravity, i’m unaffected, because from the bottom of my heart I don’t care about you at all. I just wanted to respect a dead friend’s wish, and I came because I thought I’d see something hilarious, causing her mom to get really worried, as behind her the Grandmother shows up scaring the HELL out of her daughter with just a stare, letting me know that Nobara’s mom is PROBABLY coming home after all this, to be a proper daughter to her own mother. Yikes no I can save her.
